Shrimp garlic butter spaghetti with peas and bread-sticks


Shrimp and garlic butter sauce, served over spaghetti, with peas and garlic bread-sticks. Black pepper and Parmesan cheese on top.

You'll need:

  • 6-8 oz peeled and deveined shrimp - or any protein really
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 box (8oz) spaghetti or linguine
  • 1/2 cup sweet peas, frozen
Instructions:
  • Cook your pasta according to the package instructions, saving 1/2 cup pasta water, drain but do not rinse
  • In a wide skillet, cook shrimp in olive oil over low-med heat until just turning pink
  • Add garlic and stir fry until fragrant
  • Add butter and cook until shrimp are done
  • Add half of the reserved pasta water, stirring with a wooden spoon until sauce forms
  • Reduce heat to very low, add peas and drained pasta and stir into sauce to coat
  • Adjust consistency of sauce with extra pasta water
  • Salt + pepper to taste
  • Serve with Parmesan cheese and fresh black pepper
