McDonald's Chicken Big Mac

Oh yeah baby. I saw something like this on a business trip in India years ago, and I was so excited to hear it was coming stateside.

Review

I hope this isn't truly for a limited time only.

Just look at that picture. There are no filters here. No wide angle tricks. I opened the box and for the first time in a long time was greeted by something that actually resembled the stock photos! Excuse my mostly eaten fries in the background of course, I was here for the sandwich. Let's get to it.

Presentation: 9/10

My local McDonald's knocked this one out of the park. Bun was perfectly toasted and warm, the patties were perfectly crisp, even the lettuce was fresh. The sauce and cheese were placed directly in the center - no sliding and wrangling of this double meat monstrosity today.

Taste: 8/10

Straight up chicken nugget patties. That's a good thing if you like McDonald's nuggets. It blends well with the Big Mac sauce and pickles, and had a very nice texture.

Value: 8/10

Better than the OG Big Mac here. Normally I can't justify the ~$4.89 (Oct 2024) price of a Big Mac, I'm always left slightly wanting. Filling up on the fries - as delicious as they are - just tends to over do it for me. This Chicken Mac daddy at the same $4.89 went above and beyond. The patties are larger, a bit more substantial than Big Mac beef patties, so I wouldn't feel bad ordering it alone. Honestly at 700 (vs. 590 for the OG?) calories by itself I definitely should order it alone.
